In 2006, poet Gopal Parajuli published a new play Samanatar Sadak (Parallel Roads) thereby establishing a new trend. This is his third dramatic publication. It collects five of his plays: "Samaya Seema" (Time Limit), "Samaya Patra" (Time: the Character), "Aawajko Simana" (The Limit of Voice), "Aawajko Awataran" (The Landing of Voice) and "Samaya Prabesh" (Entry into Time). In these plays, the playwright appears as a patriot, a lover of human rights, a patron of equality and freedom, a hearty lover and an innovator of human existence. He has presented himself as a vehement critique of delinquencies, absurdities, material obsession and treachery against the nation, and by doing so he has fulfilled his authorial obligations. In reality, Gopal Parajuli has made himself a surrealistic and ideological crusader, who breaks all chains of tradition and establishes different and new sets of values. Its performance apart, the progressive thought in the play has been successful promoting progressive energy in the shaping of New Nepal.
