Dr. Banira Giri

Gopal—that is Gopal Parajuli—who is passionately moved when it comes to nation or the country, has in a very short span to time ruptured the abscess of our sensitivity with the sharp laser of the poignant images he has used in a series of his works including Prithvimathi Aalekh (The Mother Figure), Himalmathi Aalekh (Mark on the Summit), Deshmathi Aalkeh (A Salute to the Nation) and Shabda Shatabdi (The Lost Century). Strong expressions have filled Samayako Prasthan (Departure of Time). Poet Parajuli, who is moving ahead to analyze time in a poetic manner, has set out to uniformly reinterpret time which is incessantly walking through the lap of the present, and by that token, he is a magician of words, who has devised for his entire intellectual readership an environment, in which, they can dauntlessly walk. Is this an ordinary achievement?
